Daniel Ridgway Knight (1839–1924) was an American realist painter who spent most of his life in France. In the village of Rolleboise on the Seine he painted young peasant women among blooming gardens, poppies and roses against wide river views. His pictures are full of light, flowers and the calm of the French countryside. He signed his paintings D. Ridgway Knight. This postcard set includes works by the artist, including The Shepherdess of Rolleboise, The Rose Garden, The Flower Girl, The Gleaner, The First Born, Two Women Fishing and others.
