The Russian Arctic National Park is the northernmost specially protected natural area of Russia, located on two polar archipelagos.
The unique geographical location of the park determines a number of its features and a wide variety of life forms. Greenland whales live in the sea near the islands all year round, and herds of the rarest sea unicorns - narwhals - come to the shores. In the spring, polar bears are born here and begin their journey among the ice.
The main objectives of the national park are the preservation of natural complexes and objects, the protection of rare species of animals and plants, and the implementation of scientific research and educational work. The “Russian Arctic” is of great interest for the development of ecological and educational tourism.
The postal block features a polar bear, a distinctive panorama and the national park logo.
